In Italy we have many politicians who act as if they have Alzheimer’s, but they still in office.

Unfortunately, I later dealt with dementia. Denial doesn’t help. The problem just worsens, some people take advantage, like having the sufferer change wills.

Admiral Benson : Oh, by the way I would like to thank you for having us over for dinner the other night. Cheryl and I thought the stroganoff was marvelous.

Lt. Commander Block : But sir, we didn’t have dinner the other night.

Admiral Benson : Really? Then where the hell was I? And who’s this Cheryl? Bah! Doesn’t matter.

It seems to me that this gag hasn’t aged well. It may have gotten laughs in the past but now it seems rather cruel to joke about people losing mental acuity as they age.

I complained to by dad before he passed about my memory. He said, "Don’t worry about it until you walk into the bathroom and go ‘Now what did I come in here for?’ "

    She thinks Cynthia is Amber.

This is very sad, and very realistic.

Loss of memory is associated with ageing only because a small percentage of older people have various forms of dementia. That is like saying all younger people are stoned on drugs, alcohol or both. Uh…..wait….

Off topic, On this day in 1988. Mike and JJ reunited in the hospital after Alex’s birth (they had been on a breakup, but Mike happened to see her giving birth on cable channel Z and when she cried out “I need you Mike!” he rushed to her side. When she told him giving birth live was her most creative work to date he asked about the ratings. She had to admit they weren’t good, they were crushed by Monday Night Football.

Will anyone “out there” assist me in locating a comment or two that I made yesterday … or, was it the day before? I don’t recall. I have the feeling that I *mispelled*_ the name of a commenter. Oh! Heaven Forbid! I would like to tell you about my black cat. Bart is his name. He likes to be scratched on his back. H-h-h-m-m-m-m-m. I’ve even been called names. Don’t remember them all. The title, “nonagenarian” seems to strike a dissonant cord. I do wish that our world could sing in better harmony. It is so sad. The war, the power grabs, the political chicanery, financial chaos, the culture of lust, greed corruption; and, “what ever else .” It does seem hopeless at times. What can I do. Where can I go? Ah-h-h-h-h-h … but, there is a place. It is my personal secluded hide-away where I talk with “my best friend”. I have been assured that in the end, all will be remedied. I believe that. To all my friends—I consider no one an enemy, Peace.
