Yeah. They mangled Saturday mornings. I looked forward to mindless nonsense on Saturday morning. Now I need YouTube for that sort of thing. …or that Jackass fool.

I miss Saturday morning cartoons. Getting up early. Making up a big bowl of Trix and chocolate milk to eat while watching. Keeping the tv low enough so it doesn’t wake Mom and Dad. Choking out your brother when he wakes Mom and Dad up anyway.

I was an unusual kid: I loved “Animaniacs,” but I stopped watching when it moved to Saturday mornings. It took more than a great show to get me up early on a weekend.

My favourite Animaniacs moment: The angry businessman on the airplane flight sniping with WY&D. Wakko pulls out an airsickness bag from behind the seat. “Mister, what’s this?” “It’s an airsick bag” “What’s it for?” (businessman whispers to him, Wakko looks inside) “Mine’s empty. What a gyp!”

Do others say “youtubes?” That sounds wrong to my ear (to me it should be “youtube videos”), but maybe it’s a generational thing.

One of my favorite cartoons! I can still sing the entire theme song. lol
