Grade curve’s are just another way to push kids thru school. If 50% of the class are doing work where they only get 50% on tests, they still get a passing grade. They may not be qualified to move on to the next level, but it gets them out of the teachers class. Trouble is the real world businesses don’t operate on “curves”. You have to be able to do the job, or you won’t even be hired. Bring back actual proficiency grading, and stop using curve grading.
This reminds me of my first summer job at the Piggly Wiggly when a coworker told me to slow down and be less neat on my stocking duties because I was making everybody else look bad.

The snails on their caps are funny. Seagull in the background.

Rose literally is outstanding in her field. And, it’s testing Dad’s patience, too.

I do like it when the professor enable the “mean score” function, and you can see where your grade is compared to the class..

The look on her face in panel 3 tells me she can throw a curve, and possibly a mean fast ball.
