If most men only knew….a few years ago my wife and I were dining out at a nice restaurant. A young couple, obviously on their first date, were sitting next to us. For the next hour, the man blabbered on about himself and other things and all the poor girl did was nod and smile. As we got up to leave, I bent over close to his ear and said: ‘Let her talk!”
I have two neighbors like that. They both have to dominate the conversation. No matter what we’re talking about it always turns back to them or their family. I once told one of them “Let me finish!” and he apologized but the next time I was talking he was back at it. Now I just let them talk.
Funny thing is that when the other one’s name comes up they BOTH say “Boy he sure can talk can’t he?”

Even if he’s paying for the meal, she’s paying, too.
Is the cost worth it?

Years ago, a coworker would joke, “Enough about me. Let’s talk about you. What do you think of me?”
