@Eldo Today’s strip IS funny but it’s a repeat ,between our HERO and Flo’s mum there is no love lost is there? :o) my avatar is a spoof about a middle aged guy who thinks he is God’s gift to women being put down by a much younger lass , how was your day? our Finally Friday should be a little busy but we should cope , we both are in a good mood with no shopping to do or errands to run , just stay inside the house and keep hydrated , till this afternoon when I will have my fav nosh , keep safe and don’t get April fooled pal

I’m trying to decide if Andy saying nothing in the last panel, but just having that knowing smirk on his face, would be funnier than the actual verbal response….

I see that at least two replies to one of my comments on yesterday’s strip state that Andy Capp is always one-off strips with no story arcs. This isn’t quite true as Andy and Flo sometimes go on holiday for a week. I count the week’s holiday strips as story arcs.

It’ll probably be a cocktail umbrella.

Andy should have taken the easy approach and just pretended he wasn’t there by not replying to his mum-in-law. Of course she knew he was there, but she wouldn’t be able to prove it.

It’s the least he can do for her. And never let it be said he didn’t do the least he can do.
