Jeff Foxworthy had a routine about burglars choosing between a house in a cul du sac with matching Audis and a cocker spaniel or a double wide with a car motor hanging from the swingset, a pick up parked out front and a pack of dogs snoozing on the porch. As he put it, they don’t break into the double wide because ‘a gun lives there’.
And before you city folk and those that live above the snow line start disparaging mobile homes, this isn’t 1975 any more. They are better, in many ways than the current stick built homes being thrown up in the subdivisions and no less expensive in many cases.
A former neighbor had lots of guns and bought a brick of ammo every few months. He let everyone know he was well armed. Only person in the neighborhood I know of who was robbed while gone, 3 different times in 2 years.
Appears that Lester believes there aren’t enough guns in the hands of our citizenry… And it appears that many commentators also believe more guns will reduce crime.
The burglary rate has dropped by half over the last ten years. The homicide rate, however, has climbed in those ten years. But it’s not because people are shooting burglars. Mostly it’s family or random, often unarmed strangers on the street.
A word of caution, however. If the cops have reason to enter your home, any reason, false search warrant, wrong address, etc. they will come in shooting, after breaking the door down. Anyone that moves is a target.
You should indeed call 911, the police, if your home or property is broken into or (especially) if you are assaulted. Your next plan of response, however, after 1) call 911, should involve asking yourself how long it will take your police to respond?, and 2), what could happen to you or your loved ones during that response interval? If you want some indication of how often armed citizens use firearms in defense of self or others, The Armed Citizen publishes a monthly short compendium of instances compiled from local news reports.
Kinda of funny really when Democrats decide to buy their 1st gun and they can’t find one or the ammo to train with it. Then their fellow Dems want to outlaw them now of all times. I’m Good cut’em off.
Don’t burglars usually try to break into homes when no one is home? A cousin of mine with 3 guns had his home broken into 6 months ago when he wasn’t home. And oddly enough, the guns failed to deter the burglary when he wasn’t home to use them. Of course, he can’t use them at all now. Since they were stolen. Guess he should have had them in a safe or something…but he was concerned that he couldn’t get them fast enough in a safe if someone broke in.

Nice of them to advertise which houses to rob if you’re looking to steal a weapon.

Never ever advertise Anything like that. Some POS D.A. might decide to make an example of you protecting yourself.

And every single gun owner on the street itching to shoot the cop who comes for his gun. “Pry it from my cold, dead, hands!”

A more economical, safer way to achieve the same result: Just buy the sign.

Is this from Lack-luster Lester’s work history?

Never let facts get in the way of a terrible cartoon. That’s Lester’s motto!

People who buy guns to shoot intruders are eight times more likely to shoot their own children.
So it’s a win-win, I guess.

I don’t advertise. A surprise is much more effective.

Like all Trump Disciples, Lester believes the only way to reduce gun violence is with more guns.
He, of course, also believes OBAMA IS COMING TO TAKE YOUR GUNS!!!

The old hero fantasy. Unlike in the movies there is a real mess to clean up.

A gun in the home is 44 times more likely to be used on a member of that household than it is on an intruder. I say go for it!

^ Yeah, everyone of us knows at least 6 or 7 “gun-grabbers!”

When guns are outlawed, only outlaws will shoot their loved ones accidentally.

If the object is to deter burglars, you don’t really need to buy a gun; just buy a sign!

Hilarious that you think robbers worry about that.
