(Looks like Thumbelina and the fairy prince attacked by a bug, the little mermaid about to be shark food, and the wicked stepmother of Snow White about to dispose of the seven dwarves.)

To be honest, the original versions of all these fairy-stories, were really horrific… It’s Disney’s watered-down versions that we see today…

And this is a kid who hates bullies.

Lio can sleep happy now, but poor dad will be awake the rest of the night.

Actually, they didn’t have to write an Unhappily Ever After version of The Little Mermaid. The original by Hand Christian Anderson already has one.

Not too often do you see Lio that happy and content!

Dwarf pies are yummy.

And in just a few more years, Lio will be keeping people’s heads in a freezer.

Does Lio live in the same neighborhood as Scary Gary? If not, he should.

Still better than the original fairy tales that Disney sugarcoated so much.

Fairy tales are just horror stories with a happy ending.

I find myself somewhat peaceful at the thought of Lio nodding off to sleep during the reading of the “dark material” in that book … ;)

I might be almost as weird as Lio. I have always been able to watch horror movies (the old scary type – not the modern blood and gore ones) and then go to bed. There are a few exceptions – “Pet Sematary” and “The Exorcist”. Gotta watch those well before bedtime, preferably before dark. I can read scary books, too, although nowadays it’s hard to find any that I like…
