Gun trafficking? I-95 was called the “iron pipeline” as long ago as 2015, funneling illegal weapons from the, er, Confederate States to New York and New England . . . .?
Which reinforces my opinion that the old Confederacy should NEVER have been allowed to rejoin the Union, In the words of Dr. Phil, “What were they thinking?”
The old Confederacy should have been held as “territories” like Puerto Rico and Guam. We made a mistake in allowing them to EVER AGAIN be able to express themselves as ANYTHING other than a humble supplicant at the “kiddies table” of the national dinner table – they lost the right to have a say in the national discourse when they attempted to rebel against Washington – they deserve no voice in governing – none at all – they were traitors to America and should have been treated as such!
Trump Disciples and other gun violence advocates really want secure borders — but not for guns.
They want guns to be able to travel anywhere without anyone being able to identify them or having to register them.
And they don’t want ANY limitations on ammunition or capacity of magazines. And they especially don’t want guns or ammunition to be traceable in case they are used in a crime.
.
Their only question is “When to we get to use our guns?”
Well, the gun lobby has Supreme Court gun toady Thomas and Robert’s racist minions in their pocket. Thomas has a wife, and she and the Reich wing just keep the rules wrapped up to their way of thinking, using all their dark money to direct the Court.
There are no pro-life Republicans. They consider selling guns to criminals, the mentally ill, white domestic terrorists, and domestic abusers are just part of a business model.
Alternative explanation for this ‘toon: There’s a monstrous storm doing great damage to the I-95 corridor states right now. Winds of over 100 miles per hour.
It is a national problem that requires a national solution. Since state lines have no border controls, there is little problem importing guns from states with little to no regulation into heavily regulated states. The only way to effectively reduce gun violence is with national gun regulation and national enforcement.

Guns be cheap and available down south, then can be sold up north. Profitable!

All the gun control legislation up north does no good whatsoever when a quick trip down south can re-stock your arsenal!

Just like the guns from the U.S. go south into Mexico and fuel the cartel violence.
