ANY covid related mandate is exactly the SAME as the holocaust.

    Everybody knows that, especially Goodwyn.

This is literally the dumbest thing I’ve ever seen. God forbid a piece of fabric over your face should shut down America. What a nation of wusses! And, boo-hoo, all you whittle babies have to get a shot. Wha wha wha!

Letting COVID run wild also leads to mass suffocation.

I wish more people like Goodwyn had to help promote these patients in the ICU’s to see the consequences of their ideology.

I attended a funeral for a cousin last week who died of Covid. Sorry, Goodwin, but Covid is not something to play politics with.

Al what is your position on the “you can’t be too safe” actions that came out of 9/11? How many times has the TSA been found letting weapons thru…but you object to cutting them out of their current role of making us take our shoes off to get thru security? Does your objection to someone saying “you can’t be too safe” reach as far as the NSA recording all our calls? Does it apply to R voters casting multiple ballots?

I think it’s time to concede when even Bill Maher comes out against mandates.

I can’t figure out this point of view. How does wearing a mask stop you from doing things? Yes, they are annoying. Yes, it’s a little harder to hear people. But other than that, so what, you’re wearing a simple disposable mask and cutting down on the spread of Covid (among other things). And what is the big deal about getting a shot that prevents you from getting serious Covid, if not any Covid? At worse it’s a minor inconvenience.

How are Covid mandates choking America. You guys are very short on specifics.

The sole purpose of government in America is summed up in the Preamble in the Constitution. It boils down to protecting and promoting the health, safety, and welfare of the citizenry. ’Nuff said.

If everyone got their shots, instead of doses of right wing populist contrariness, masking would likely not be an issue this year.

With omicron fading fast in San Francisco, city suggests policy pivot

COVID-19 counts are falling off rapidly, and while hospitalization numbers have yet to see a decline, intensive care unit numbers appear to have peaked.

City officials said that the number of cases peaked on Jan. 8, a trend that follows other Bay Area counties. Hospitalization totals typically lag cases by a week or two, so a decline there can be expected in the coming days.

Even though raw hospitalization numbers exceed last winter’s surge, experts say those figures exaggerate the severity of the current wave, as they include both those who were hospitalized for COVID-19 and those who were hospitalized for other issues and then tested positive for COVID-19, but might have only mild or no symptoms.

“Our goal is no longer to prevent every case of COVID,” San Francisco Department of Public Health Director Dr. Grant Colfax said in a statement Jan. 20. “Instead, our goal is to prevent the worst outcomes of the disease, such as hospitalizations and deaths, and to do this while keeping essential services open, like schools and hospitals.”

“We know how to protect ourselves: vaccines, booster shots, testing, and soon we expect more widely available therapeutics,” tweeted Mayor London Breed on Jan. 20. “As we adapt to living with COVID, these tools will continue to be critical to keeping our city and our economy running, and our residents safe.”

goodwyn and his fellow travelers on the right don’t care about masks. they’re just waving the idea of mask mandates around as a smokescreen to distract the gullible from issues that are important. and, as we can see from (๑❛ᴗ❛๑) and others of a similar bent here, the gullible are in no short supply…
