Or learning to grasp your stylus with your toes.

I thoroughly sympathize Amanda. Recovering from wrist surgery on my dominant hand was frustrating even with very good PT. And we had a plumbing crisis in the middle of it when I had to write down phone numbers and instructions and hope I could decipher it later. Not sure how much computer drawing programs would help either …. You still have to manipulate a mouse or stylus.

For the immediate pain and inflammation, aspirin and alternating warm and cool packs. And then see an orthopedist.

Sorry to hear about your hand. However, one of the perks of living in the Dakota, put up blank panels and tells us your in a snow storm! Ha ha! :)

Just draw with your other hand and tell us your smarty pants younger self is doing the drawing.

Out of boredom, I taught myself to write and draw with my left hand. Came in, handy, when my right shoulder got dislocated!
