Yeah, the favorite non-existant problem. Who has been agitating for this? Exactly no one.

If you give everyone proper access to birth control and options for terminating unwanted pregnancy, fewer babies would end up in dumpsters.

The distinction is extremely clear to me. If you don’t get it, try being a pregnant female. BEFORE birth, there’s a woman who has bodily autonomy or she’s less than a full human. AFTER birth there are two humans.

This is BS propaganda. Abortions after gestational age of 21 weeks are extremely rare (<1%). They are fundamentally illegal unless medically necessary. The vast majority of those abortions are when the fetus is no longer viable. Overturning RvW most likely will not even ban these types of abortions more than they are now.

That fetus abandoned in the trash was most likely a baby that the mother had to conceal because she didn’t know what else to do. This is often caused by the stigma created by families about pregnancy outside of marriage by young women incapable of taking care of the child. It speaks to the fact that American society does less to encourage a mother to keep her child by supporting both the mother and child (the infamous “welfare mother” stigma). It’s so much easier for conservatives to punish the mother for getting an abortion and forcing her to carry the baby’s to terms and then abandon both mother and child.

This slays me! All the GOP and their claim being Christians is a blatant lie to begin with!

True Christians would not LIE! CHEAT THEIR FELLOW MAN, DECEIVE, BELITTLE, STEAL, PLOT AGAINST! Rape, etc, etc, etc…….

A true Christian would have sympathy, empathy, love of others, show kindness, have ethics, scruples, have a conscience , and a SOUL!

I know that this might be against my Chriatian upbringing but, in my opinion, no one has the right to tell a woman what she can do with her body! Having said that, once again in my opinion, if a woman is raped, or in the case of incest, she should be allowed to have an abortion, no questions asked!

This is another Goodwyn snow job. There are only 8 states that have laws that don’t have a stated limit on the point of a pregnancy that limit’s abortion. Many of the remaining states will allow a late term abortion (that is an abortion past 20 to 28 weeks) in the cases where the mother’s was threatened. In fact the Roe vs Wade decision specified that a woman’s right to an abortion was protected up to viability, which they decided was 24 weeks).

I can’t imagine a doctor who would perform an abortion up to the point of birth. It would violate the Hippocratic Oath of do no harm. I defy Mr. Goodwyn to come up with example where that happened. Undoubtedly he could come up with one or two, but it’s likely to be insignificant in comparison.

This is just another raise the rabble cartoon from the people who have no good ideas on how to make our country the best place to live.

NOBODY thinks “yawn” about late term abortions. Nobody. What a horrible and ugly lie. Every single case of a late term abortion is a horrible and tragic situation where the abortion is the lesser of two evils.

If anti-abortionists actually wanted fewer abortions, they would demand effective sex education and very easy access to birth control.

They want to punish sinners. Sinners who are women, especially when they are one of Those People.

Keeping it legal makes it easy to enforce laws that outlaw abortion after viability. Furthermore, it is still the decision of the pregnant one. As for the partial, stillbirth abortion, that’s highly rare and calls for consultation as to how to save the life of the mother of a dead or dying fetus.

My takeaway from the cartoon is that it displays the hard decision a new mother has to make upon discovering she’s given birth to a cartoonist . . .

There is no “abortion up to birth.” Typical scare tactics because logic and science cause you to fail.

Then he will create punishments for out of wedlock births that will only be applied to non white women.

Look at how many RWNJs push their mistresses to get abortions while they lie in public; Trump paid for at least one abortion that he admitted.

The laws that Repubs pass to limit abortion are not based on medical facts. There isn’t a heart at 6 weeks, so there isn’t a heartbeat. Abortions need to be allowed until 24 weeks (viability) because of tests that cannot be done until 20 weeks. They pass laws that require doctors to lie to their patients – abortions don’t increase the risk of breast cancer, you cannot reverse the process after you take the first abortion pill and many others. The laws that Repubs pass make it harder for women to get an abortion, so many women have to delay getting one, which is riskier.

Before Roe v Wade, I was in elementary school and 2 of my classmates had older sisters that died from “appendix complications”. Even though I was only about 11, even I heard the whispers that these were botched back-alley abortions.

There is an extremely easy answer to abortion. Don’t believe in it, don’t have one. Leave everyone else alone.
