It’s so horrible how Biden has all those private meetings with Putin. And how he gave the Russians classified intel right there in the Oval Office. And how all his business ventures are propped up by Russian investment capital, etc.
Yep. He stepped in that one. I’m sure his staff were pulling out their hair, not having trained for it by staffing for the orange error. But can you point at more than one other point where he dropped the ball?
OK, all speechifying apart, what options are actually available to US & Europe in case of Russian invasion? Economic sanctions can’t work because Europe needs Russian gas to stay warm. Similarly, US doesn’t have much appetite for war after Iraq & Afghanistan. Is it just supply arms to Ukraine and hope that they win enough to keep Russia away?
Sealioning refers to the disingenuous action by a commenter of making an ostensible effort to engage in sincere and serious civil debate, usually by asking persistent questions of the other commenter. These questions are phrased in a way that may come off as an effort to learn and engage with the subject at hand, but are really intended to erode the goodwill of the person to whom they are replying, to get them to appear impatient or to lash out, and therefore come off as unreasonable.
Biden erred in saying this. Biden and his administration immediately walked it back. Or, doesn’t that matter? The previous, defeated president when caught in an error doubled, tripled, quadrupled down or distracted with another lie (Roy Cohn school of PR). I’ll take a person who can recognize their own errors and move on.
The Russian proxy troops have been shelling the Ukrainian troops and picking them off with sniper fire for years. So if you don’t differentiate you paint yourself into a corner. It’s easy to jump on a phrase or a word if you don’t understand the situation. Maybe you should try to actually understand something…never mind I forgot who I was talking to.
This issue predates Biden, but I have some difficulty with the Ukraine being invited to NATO. North Atlantic Treaty Organization, it takes a stretch to include a landlocked Asian country unless the goal is to provoke the bear.Granted, they could use someone in their corner.

Wasn’t it a recent republican president who was bowing over backwards to appease Putin? Oh yeah, he just wanted to get his Moscow Tower approved.

I see Al jumps all over Biden for misspeaking, yet was silent when the Last Occupant was writing love letters to his favorite despot.

This is such BS. After trump spent the four years of his time in office bending over for Putin, this is simply (and I do mean SIMPLY) sad.

Biden is doing what he can not to get the USA into another war. One that would be far deadlier to USA troops than Afghanistan and Iraq were.
It’s hard to talk to a megalomaniac like Putin in a normal way.
