There is a shortage of workers willing to work for slave wages and oppressive working conditions. Jobs offering $30 an hour are getting filled easily. Same with $25/hr.
The paradigm is shifting from employers telling workers they should be grateful for them providing jobs to workers telling employers they should be grateful for workers providing the labor to produce the goods and services that have made them rich.
I’ve tried to feel bad about fast food places struggling during the pandemic…for the employment and economic reasons. But that would be hypocrisy. I was actually hoping the pandemic would shift more people to eating actual food.
Nice shot. But there isn’t an employee shortage. It’s not like they all died. They’re still here. Why can’t you get them to come cook your burgers and fries? Or is pondering that too difficult?

I’ve never tried a Five Guys burger, though there’s one in town. At the moment, though, I’m back to avoiding restaurants.

I like their fries but sometimes end up with a very sloppy wet burger.

Burgers are juicy and greasy, but the fries are to die for.
