If Dad’s using the knives, you really don’t want to be in the drop zone, Sophie…

I keep looking for the WebCams that I know Brian has in my house, but I have not found them yet.

I’m not helpful. I’m handy. Carry on.

Years ago, a friend was on the phone with me while she was cooking dinner. She had a dog, like Sophie, who clung to her feet whenever she was cooking. Perhaps it was because she was on the phone, but my friend dropped a knife. Realizing the knife was headed towards her dog, she quickly interposed her foot. Which is why she had to tell me,“ sorry, I have to get off the phone. I just stabbed myself in the foot.“

We have a cat that will follow us into the kitchen almost anytime we go in

He isnt even begging for food, he just wants attention

He likes to rub up against our legs, a little dangerous if we don’t know he’s there

Ideally, I’d think you’d need thumbs first before you can effectively try using the knives, Sophie.

Not that it’d be a good idea to do so even then, but I digress.

You need to be better positioned so you can catch stuff before it bounces. Hopefully not the knives.

My small dog understands everything I say, except Get Out of the Kitchen!
