Apparently they’re going to mail them out. Via DeJoy’s super-efficient US Postal Service. What could possibly go wrong?

And that leaves Tin Man with . . . ? Oh yeah, and get yourself a mask, too, Dorothy. A test kit doesn’t protect.

It is nice to have them. I will use mine if I have reason to believe that I have been exposed. I am pretty much a hermit who works from home, goes to the store on off-hours and double-mask when I do. We’ve gone back to curbside pickup and take-out.

No, I do not think this is a plot by the radical left socialists to gain control over my life. It’s just numbers. One in five people in my area have Covid and four in 10 are unvaccinated. I don’t like those odds. I’m 72 years old and didn’t get to live this long by taking risks I don’t have to. If I want to live another three decades, I’ll keep stacking the odds in my favor.

A sickness with a fatality rate of < 1% for people younger than 50 has the elderly posters running scared.

Up to 1 million rapid test kits sat unused in Florida warehouse

Up to 1 million COVID-19 test kits were left to expire inside a Florida warehouse amid a nationwide shortage triggered by a winter surge of coronavirus cases.

At a news conference held by Gov. Ron DeSantis, Kevin Guthrie, the director of Florida’s Division of Emergency Management, confirmed the stockpile of kits, manufactured by Abbott Laboratories, sat unused.

“We had between 800,000 and a million test kits, Abbott rapid test kits, in our warehouse that did expire,” Guthrie told reporters, adding that they were rendered ineffective sometime “before December 26 to December 30.”

Gorsuch unmasked? Argues that COVID is no big deal, flu kills 100s of 1000s of people every year

Justice Gorsuch drew a lot of attention and raised eyebrows today, for two reasons —

He did not wear a mask to court, when other justices and attending reporters and attorneys did.

He falsely argued that “the flu kills hundreds of thousands of people every year” as a way to downplay COVID.

These two actions drew scathing reactions from luminaries around the nation and rightfully so.
