    Just as we were meant to sympathize with Wile E Coyote in the Warner Bros Roadrunner shorts and Tom the cat in the MGM Tom & Jerry cartoons, so, too, I feel that Schulz intended the reader to sympathize with Lucy in these Schroeder and Lucy episodes.
