Well, that’s strange.

I do like the double image of the face of Jesus and Mary standing with baby Jesus in the manger.

But I’m not a Christian, so I don’t get what or who “Immanuel” is.

Immanuel (Hebrew: עִמָּנוּאֵל‎ ‘Īmmānū’ēl, meaning, “God is with us”)

Says the man who doesn’t believe in the science

I wonder if Varvel believes Trump is a Christian?

I read that Evangelicals are giving Trump equal billing with Jesus.

Yeah, it took me a couple of minutes to realize that’s Mary in the white space. I se a manger and a triangle. No infant or Joseph (why is he always forgotten?).

If you study it, the manger scene becomes a depiction of Christ being crucified with a crown of thorns upon his head. Well drawn Gary!

Makes one wish that Mr. Varvel would listen to the teachings of Jesus as well as draw pictures about him.

Theologically speaking, Christmas was the reason for Easter

Bless V’s heart. Weird is getting to be the norm with some of the cartoonists.

A nice drawing that captures both the beginning and end of the Christ’s life. The alpha and omega, if you will.

This illustration is kind of a weird depiction of Christ. But since no one worships the same God and Christ, I have no specific problem with it. Everyone applies their own personal experiences and biases to create a personal and unique deity in their mind.

Way too cryptic for me.

The shepherds were at the birth, the wise men showed up months if not years later.

Shepherds in the field would be spring or early summer though possibly into fall and they were commonly older children, (8 and up).

Makes sense that white wise men would visit White Jeebus. I’d love to see Ole Gary’s face at a depiction of his imaginary bestie as the Aramaic Jew he should actually have been…
