One’s driving this. The other one is trying to protect a nation who is being attacked by that one.

And just what sanctions did the Rump actually impose? I mean other than kissing Putin’s butt and saluting dictators all over the world of course. Nothing. Even his MAGA hats were made in China.

Oh, right. Those “Western Sanctions” include "cancelling all those gift cards sent to Putin last Christmas (2020). Wow, what moxie!

Nobody outside the conversation knows the exact sanctions, but what is expected would essentially shut Russia out of the western economy. Russia’s own economy cannot survive that. But, no, let’s kill more of our kids instead.

We would be very foolish to go against the Russian army in Russia’s backyard, the Ukraine. The Hawks are all for it, but they are heavily invested in defense industries, and have no children in the military.

The solution could actually be quite simple. The Russians could lease the port from Ukraine for 99yrs., much as the British leased Hong Kong. Not perfect, but no bodycount in the hundreds of thousands. The trick is getting Putin’s finger off the trigger.

That “Nerf” gun pretty well says it all. Anyway, all sanctions do is starve the common people.

Putin has an obsession with regaining previous territories as part of his drive to “Make Russia Great Again”. Soooo….when is he going to decide that previous claims to North America will be grounds to start carving us into an empire add-on…

Countries that claim that previous ownerships of territories are grounds occupying other nations…usually using warfare tactics….sheesh…no wonder colonialism was so popular…annex other resource rich countries…greed is the driving policy.

Nerf? Is that to imply we aren’t capable? I think we are every bit as capable as any country, we just have the good sense not to enter into a shooting war…. i hope…
