Could have been a really fun one Mike – if you hadn’t gotten the proportions all wrong… the lizard is not bigger than a newt compared to the knight. So even without shield and lance he would be able to take care of the newt (fire breathing or not) with his right boot – or that sword that he should also have in there somewhere. Moving some money from the enormous military budget to address more civil matters – especially now that Afghanistan won’t be the sink hole it was, won’t hurt your military capabilities at all.
What does this even mean? The US spends the last 50 years shipping out low value production to China and now gets mad that China wants to charge for it? Boo hoo.
Let’s see, China spends $252 billion and we spend $735 billion. All that tells me is that we’re not getting our “bang for the buck”. But, the fat cats in the defence industry are loving it.
The latest defense budget included billions for weapons systems the military didn’t even want. Our political class is thoroughly captured by corporate and financial special interests. Corporate welfare writ large, but we can’t seem to find the money to pay for FREE STUFF.

With Ramirez’s works you can enjoy the art work if you ignore the misguided messages.

Apparently our nation’s defense is based on a policy of not taxing billionaires.

…free stuff called welfare for the wealthy in the Military-Industrial Complex.

We could cut defense spending by 30% and still be spending more than Russia and China combined.

Trotting out the old RW tropes again. Typical Ramirez.

I’m a little confused. Is China the new Russia or the new Japan? Or, going back further, the new Britain.. France… Germany… ?

Which free stuff would that be? You know, they never have an answer for that.

Here’s an idea: let’s cut military by 10%, and also cut everything else by 10% (actual cuts, not reductions of planned increases).

Well that comic does not make sense.

stop giving out “free stuff” to the corporations via corporate welfare. There would be plenty of money left over.

“Free Stuff.” Like Reagan/Dubya/Former Guy tax cuts to the rich?

Ramirez must have a lot of money invested in defense related industries.

What free stuff is he talking about? You mean feeding the hungry and healing the sick?

Republicans now want to provide unemployment benefits for people who get fired or quit over their employer’s vax mandates.
What’s all this noise about giving people free stuff so they can decide not to work? Shouldn’t there be a work requirement to get those benefits?
How do their necks survive all the snapping back and forth?

Get rid of the surplus Flag Officers. We have more Generals with a Army of 1.5 Million than we had with an Army of 5 million. We would save a bundle.

Mike, are you upset that we aren’t in a forever war so you need to start a new one?
