I have no problem with American fascists following a death cult directed at themselves; it is, after all, their choice. I do have a problem with these followers clogging up hospitals because they fall ill & suddenly want, of all things, medical intervention based on science. What pulling hypocrites! And in occupying hospitals coast-to-coast, they deny hospital beds for people who are suffering from other diseases & conditions, through no fault of their own.

The Conservatives/Reactionaries/Regressives/Fascists despise anything they view as weakness, and that includes the typically “liberal/left wing” idea of “compassion, doing things for the good of everyone, helping out the poor/minorities/lgbt/outsiders”. And let’s be clear. The liberal position on Covid has never waivered. It has always been consistent. It has always been to listen to what the virology experts tell us and what they recommended we do. Some information may have evolved, because that’s how science is supposed to work, but our commitment to respecting the science has never once waivered. It was conservatives who were all over the map on this one constantly flipping between one lunatic conspiracy theory about hydroxychloroquine, another claiming Covid was genetically engineered, and yet another about Covid being a massive global hoax.

The Fascists’ attempt of dumb down the population to result in a mindless mass that will go along with whatever they are told has been far too effective. It worked in 1936 Germany and the result was disastrous. This country MUST come to its senses or the results will be similar.

The reason Trump went from his claiming to be the “War President” against Covid to being ambivalent is Covid began to upstage him in the media. No one or no thing dared do that.

I listened to a non-political doctor in early 2020. He said that you cannot stop a virus. No amount of social distancing or masks will stop the spreading. They can only slow the process. Only a vaccine will do the job.
