Unfortunately, there is a lot of that out there.

For Mount McNasty (Seymour, Grouse, Hollyburn) this is an all-too-often occurrence.

The guy seems very relaxed and comfortable for the conditions.

People like that should just be left out there. It will improve the gene pool in the long run.

How do you hike in flip-flops? Seems contradictory.

People who spend most of their lives indoors have no idea how quickly hypothermia sets in and you won’t be able to “walk it off” because you rapidly lose the ability to move.

Reverse problem here. No snow but the city fire and rescue divisions are always “saving” people from hiking without the proper shoes/equipment and most importantly water. Try hiking a mountain in 110F heat!

As a former member of my local search and rescue team I know there are a lot of idiots out there.

As a former scoutmaster for 20 plus years way too many knuckle heads head out unprepared and do not let folks know where you are going. No wonder you get into trouble and need to get rescued, if not to late!

Well, at least he had a hot drink.

Reminds me of the silly/stoopid tourists that would come to San Francisco, CA in July wearing tank tops, shorts, flip flops.

How about this, If you find’em then charge’em for the rescue, if you can’t find’em then it’s free.
