What can you say. It’s a metaphorical truth. Though to be fair, the law that he’s sworn to uphold was written so badly that even WITHOUT his misfeasance as a judge, the murderer probably would have walked. According to the Wisconsin legal experts who’ve written things I have seen. (That is NOT the same as an expert opinion, but I think it’s right anyway).
There were so many things wrong hat trial, it is ridiculous. First, the nincompoop judge allowing the defense to pick the jury, sure they drew balls out of a tumbler but, it was the DEFENSE that did it. Why doesn’t the nincompoop judge give them the addresses of the jury? Speaking of the jury, why were they not sequestered? In this high profile of a case, that jury SHOULD HAVE BEEN SEQUESTERED!! Then there was the fact that the nincompoop judge ALLOWED a jury member to take the jury instructions home! Once again, what huge in their right mind does that! Because of that nincompoop judge, the verdict was predetermined,in the judges mind at least before the trial was even a quarter of the way done! Goodnight and Good luck.
It was no place for an immature adolescent with NO training and no idea of what his being there would accomplish. Any intelligent parents would have intervened. No police agency would ever accept a 17 year old for training much less duty in such a volatile situation. Sad commentary on our country.
No.. there’s more to it than just a cheesie hat. This “stand your ground” movement is gaining momentum.. cheered on by the NRA, trump, and his ilk. Soon there will be no such thing as a “friendly” argument over the back fence with a neighbour. Don’t like his noisy kids.. provoke him/her then shoot him/her.
There really is enough negligence and stupidity to go ‘round here. Let’s start with the kid who bought Rittenhouse his gun, the kid’s father who didn’t know what his kid was doing/did, the mother who didn’t know where 17-year-old Rittenhouse was, the people who should have been raising Rittenhouse but left him to find adulthood with the police department and an assault rifle. Let’s hope it ends there.
My thoughts: Hang the kid, disembowel, draw & quarter him, put his body parts in an open cage for the birds…, then give him a fair trial and convict him!
He was a democrat judge dealing with a trial that never should have happened with a prosecutor who was too dumb to tie his own shoes and video evidence that could not be denied

Wisconsin, nice cheese hat gimmick, not so great in the flying lead poisoning scheme…

Anytime the jury has thirteen members it’s easy to predict the verdict long before the vote.

Not all of us cheeseheads are as biased as this judge. Law reform is necessary.

I doubt a higher court will overturn a not guilty verdict in a murder case. It was a poor run trial. Only hope that WI voters throw out the law.

Wisconsin got it wrong and Georgia got it right. Vigilantes won one and lost one.
