My father is being discharged from the hospital today. Things are looking up.

I have my hubby. I’m rich beyond measure.

I do have a wonderful wife! I just got a little kitten that seem to turn out wonderfully! And it doesn’t stop there. My daughter and I found our way back to eachother after over ten years apart. AND in that process I became a Grandfather! Beat that, Hallmark!

Aunty seems to have decided to go nice this week…last chance to get on Santa’s list!

Love this. Have to make a copy and read it every morning before I start the day to remind me of all I really do have.

Absolutely!

I woke up this morning and had breakfast. I have never known hunger except by choice.

I went to work, I have a job, it is safe and it pays the bills.

I came home and my house has not been burned to the ground, my wife raped and murdered, my daughter sold off to a bordello and my son given drugs and an AK-47 and conscripted into some warlord’s army.

I say my prayers at night and am not prosecuted for how I choose to worship my God.

I go to sleep in a warm, comfortable bed.

Yup, that makes me a lot better off than many of the people on the planet.

No. Not really.

Upbeat two days in a row? It’s a Christmas miracle! But I truly appreciate it.

I have been abundantly blessed. Having GoComics friends is indeed a blessing.

Even with the heartbreak of my husband being diagnosed this month with pancreatic cancer, we are so blessed to have had 51 years of being together. Our last Christmas together will be so special.

And it’s my birthday! Now we have 2 good reasons to celebrate!
