The Velveeta Voldemort lost, just like the South lost over 100 years ago, but losers like those tend to band together and drum up BS and lies, and use Nazi-era Big Lie propaganda. Losers and racists come together in the Turd Reich. They found a home in the blarney.
Trumpers think the VA governor’s election results proves that they are about to make a landslide recovery… then take over the whole federal government… and “make things right” by reinstating Trump as King… the Trumpers don’t realize that the Democrat candidate lost more on his own merits (or lack of same) than because of any groundswell support for Trump. As Benson notes, the Republican who won kept Trump at arm’s length, proving that a Republican can win without Trump.
There are 50 states to keep track of, and I’ve got my hands full here in Wisconsin, with a totally gerrymandered, Republican-controlled legislature just barely kept in check by a sensible Democratic governor (net result: almost nothing accomplished in the last 2 years), so I haven’t much detail on the situation in Virginia. What’s the condition of their state legislature? Will the new Republican governor have a free hand?
