I love arts and crafts!! Mid-century modern is so sterile.

Verne, it’s a bush. With all that “goes” on there, I’m surprised it’s still alive.

My style is – Yes, I can afford that and it doesn´t clash too badly with the things I have now.

Soon it will be winter and the decor will be brown and white. That’s close to MCM.

arts and crafts is about simplicity . it was a reaction to overly fancy Victorian decor, this was my grandmother’s era and I ( actually born mid century) didn’t care for it a lot of it was stick straight and uncomfortable. mid century modern was more about modern materials and more comfort combined with simple lines. I didn’t like it much then either. now we can pick and choose the best of both styles and my taste has changed so I like them both but only as single pieces not a house full

Maybe just replace the sign. A nice San-serif typeface in 36 point. Or dig a new hole twenty feet away and fill this one in – it’s been years.

There are some mid-(20th) century Bushes, still around, but have fallen out of favor, for the most part.

No doubt there are YouTube videos to help Verne plan this remodel.

Yeah….I was there for that mid-century. Didn’t like it when I was a kid (I’m with Greasy…WAY too sterile). Like it a little better now, but still wouldn’t live with it. The Golden Age of Formica, the sunbursts, the pink, the gray, the slick-finished vinyl dinette seats that tore your flesh if you were silly enough to sit on them in shorts for any length of time. Sigh. Yeah…dem was da good ol’ days! OH, and the jewel-colored aluminum glasses that felt so good on a summer day ’cuz they transferred all that cold to your hand. Actually, I guess I really do have fond memories. Specially ’cuz of no more vinyl dinette seats! ;-)

The smell can be a little ripe and may evenly kill the bush. What about the TP? Is it time for the Chairman bears to stop by
