What would be a better autumn activity for kids if there isn’t much leaf piles in which to romp?

Dill’s curiosity knows no bounds! It’ll probably put him on the future path of omnibus research projects.

They could come to our house. We live on the edge of a state forest.

I could use a leaf romper – but first I’d have to rake and I refuse.

Romping is banned in 17 states.

Frolicking does not require leaves.

I’m with Petey…my romping days are over.

My strongest memory involving leaf piles goes back to my childhood in the 1950s. That was when people still burned their leaves. That was also back before leash laws. Our parents made sure we knew to NEVER jump in a pile of leaves, because there was no telling what the neighborhood dogs may have left behind.

Yeah, your whole day wasted jumping in leaves. But watching the thirtieth playing of " the big pink bunny slipper fuzz ball"( this week), and howling that you are bored!
