But seriously, folks: Do they make their tools from scratch too? Plastic stock? Lumber and paint? The world IS interconnected, and actual Santa (aka the parental conspiracy) has kept up… the elves need to join the era.

Oh and even the parental conspiracy is going to have rough going this year. We’re planning to give gift cards. After all, the only kids left are one grandkid (Sr. in HS) and one great-grand (recently “enrolled” in a pre-K experience).

The materials to do so have to come from somewhere. The North Pole has little more than snow around it, and that’s rapidly disappearing. Wood, nails, screws, paint, plastic, glass, etc. all has to come from materials procured elsewhere.
