For those of you who have forgotten the 1983 film, “El Norte,” now might be a good time to watch it again. A whole generation has passed since it first appeared — and has much of anything changed?
And now they are suffering from the fires! No protective masks, outdoors all day, it is so wrong. During the pandemic, one woman brought supplies to them in her own truck. They were so grateful because no one else thought to do so. We must keep this graphic in mind when we enjoy the fruits and vegetables of their labor!
