Maybe it’s the fact that the colorist didn’t make the fur of the front part of the squirrel anything like the back half, but the disconnect between the two halves really jumps out here. This looks less like a squirrel than Jonas crouching and about to be devoured by a gigantic dark gray slime mold.

Be careful. Our Norwegian Forest Cat caught a squirrel in a tree. And had it for lunch. We changed her name from Ingrid to Odinsdottir that very day.
