“I would sooner destroy a stained-glass window than an artist like yourself. However, since I can’t have you following me, either, please understand I hold you in the highest respect.”
Somebody needs to tell this kid about Joseph Bolougne, aka the Chevalier du Saint-Georges, who around Mozart’s time was both a virtuoso violinist and a champion fencer.
That would make an interesting quasi historical set of stories. He plays the violin, is expert in combat with the sword and solves crimes and other weirdness.

Learn swordplay and slash a violin in half. Good plan!

You have to learn something to do for when you aren’t stabbing your enemies.

Music has charms to soothe the savage breast, but if you stab them through it it doesn’t really matter how savage it is.

To me fencing will always be about building fences to keep livestock in the pasture and out of the garden.

@Charles Freeman – Did you know Mozart had a funeral for a pet bird but did not attend his own father’s funeral?

Well, they’re back in school. And they’re talking about stabbing their enemies. At least he’s not learning to use a gun.

Tis better to have a thousand enemies and one true love than a thousand lovers and one true enemy.

Fencing is a good skill to learn if you plan to make the leap from D&D to LARP.
