    That’s only one of the many reasons to switch to a low growing groundcover like rupturewort or speedwell, and many others. Low watering, maintenance and beautiful. Dealing with your HOA is a whole other matter though.

    I had a neighbor – and we live in an area where grass grows like weeds due to plenty of rain – who cut his lawn on Memorial Day, 4th of July, and Labor Day. Period. Ever. It really didn’t bother me very much, even though mine was cut weekly.
