Naturally, I can’t find it now, but there was an article yesterday about the Taliban complaining about the quality of the equipment they “inherited”. Most of what we left behind was broken and rusted; 60 planeloads of good stuff was shipped out earlier.
Seeing that the Taliban are experts are destroying, the equipment won’t last long because they’ll not fix anything. No worries! Their biggest worry is Isis and AlQuada are back in town….Afghanistan….the country of savages, brutal murderers, and rape!
All the heavy equipment, aircraft, track vehicles, big guns, etc., anything with a computer chip in it, are made inoperable via satellite. All equipment, even that sold to allies, has a chip only we have the codes to.
I’m sorry but this appears to be a derogatory insult. Yeah their extremist beliefs make them seem like outdated human beings but they aren’t stupid or ignorant of technology.
It’s neither an exaggeration nor an insult to point out that numerous Taliban fighters manning the checkpoints couldn’t read the documents that the desperate refugees were handing them, merely a matter of fact.
Our evacuation from Afghanistan, especially from Kabul, was predicated on the belief that the US-supplied Afghan Army would actually put up a fight, leaving us a few months to organize everything. As we’ve seen, BIG MISTAKE.

And once again, the “regular” citizen will pay the price for the activities of the few “at the top.”

The Taliban are a lot like the rebublicans. If it’s not locked down in a burglary-proof vault, they’ll steal it.
