We wouldn’t bomb Saudi Arabia, the homeland for the 19 terrorists who perpetrated 9/11. They have too much oil and they oppose Iran. Afghanistan was a convenient and highly inaccurate target.

Yeah! Why should all these American men die so that Afghan girls can get an education? Let the Afghan women look after their girls themselves. Every Afghan woman could put poison in her Taliban husband’s food – all on the same day. In 24 hours they could free the entire country. Let women take responsibility for their own liberation. Why depend on the patriarchy, when they are going to complain about it anyway?

Are we to put a military presence in every country that treats women badly? There are many to choose from. More, we need to do more in this country for women and girls, who’s rights are attacked regularly by the Republican party, who consistently vote against protecting women and their rights in the USA.

The President of Afghanistan assured President Biden that the Afghan military was prepared to fight. Sadly, that turned out to not be true.

Is Biden the American president? Or the Afghani president? He can’t be both, Phil.

Right now Biden needs to focus on a SAFE American withdrawal. Then he can focus on aid to Afghan women and children.

Sad to say, tje cartoon is true. How much money and blood must the USA spend to help women in a country thousands of miles away when that culture does not embrace our ideas?

Some of the people crying (crocodile?) tears about Afghani women and girls are the same who are furiously debating issues of gender and race here. Are they sincere or just trying to make political points?

Not enough of their soldiers were willing to fight for their country. The government was corrupt. We were just propping u a corrupt government.

Find this comic a bit rich when it is drawn by a cartoonist living in a country where the Supreme Court is very likely engaging in the act of taking away women’s rights to decide about issues to do with their own bodies.

It’s a humanitarian concern. And you can’t always solve those with bombs and bullets.

Since when was education ever a national security concern? It is regrettable that Afghani girls will not be able to continue their education, but whether they or their parents will be allowed to live at all is a bigger concern.

When the US was a slave-owning country, would a non-slave owning country (such as England, by 1834) have had the right and the responsibility to invade?

Women of Afghanistan can’t be less deadly than women everywhere else. Just do it, ladies!

I am sort of impressed with Biden for admitting it. Instead of pretending other people’s problems are a US foreign policy priority…like so many people are pretending right now to attack Biden. Unless we were willing to assimilate Afghanistan into the United States, we weren’t going to change their culture…and even then it would have probably been a failure in the long term. I wish we lived in an utopian world where we could protect and nurture the children who will suffer now. But we don’t.

There are numerous countries with this problem around the world. Why Afghanistan? If you think this is an issue, then the American military should invade all of those countries, not just one.

Such BS. we have the American Taliban taking over Texas. Take care of them first. If it were important to Afgans, don’t you think they would have fought the Taliban taking over there instead of running? We were in over there under a lie from Bush. They had nothing to do with 9/11. If we would have attacked those responsible, we would have bombed the crap out of Saudi Arabia.

The left shows true colors here about hate and their own violent little mindset far more akin to the Taliban than a right wing conservative will ever be. They’re not pro choice, they’re pro death as is proven by their words. Just like the Taliban singles out women for their hate and subjugation, they have to have an opponent to focus their hate and malice upon, which are Republicans and conservatives. This is a trait held by a section of humanity which needs to denigrate others in order to justify their thoughts of superiority and position. In the USA those individuals drift to the left and the Democrat party. The Democrats have displayed this hateful opposition to others through history since the American Civil War with the creation of the KKK and their denigration of blacks, First Americans, Jews, Republicans, women, basically anyone that didn’t meet their idea of what a proper person should be, kind of like proto-NAZIs. Poor Dems, over the years the Republicans fought the Dems over all those repressive issues, winning suffrage for women and blacks, abolishing Jim Crow laws, passing equal rights acts and basically leveling the playing field for all people in the USA. Now the Dems have only one segment of the population where it is okay or sort of PC to focus their hate, bile and violence upon, the Republican right wing conservative types. The Dems feel JUSTIFIED in their hate for the right. You see it displayed right here in these comments sections every day. Just do an objective comparative analysis between the left and right wing comments and see who does the ad hominem attacks, name calling, belittling etc. After all, I didn’t call for anyone’s retro-abortion (murder), but they did.
