My understanding is that they don’t do that freshman / sophomore / junior / senior stuff in Canadian schools and this was something written in for the US audience. Is that correct?

Yep. And many of these older guys wouldn’t think twice about hooking up with a naive freshman girl, fooling around with her, then dumping her.

One of the reasons for separating middle school and high school was to keep those older guys away from you for as long as possible.

Kids still say “neat”?

This where things get complicated.

Candace has as much chance of being serious about her education as Miss Edwards has in winning a decathlon.

Give it some time, you’ll get used to it.

You might have liked the old school better, Dawn but, you had to move on or stay back. That’s life.
