Humanity seems to be at issue in our battle against Covid. The shortest path would have been following expert advice but we seem — perhaps due to the dark side of capitalism — to have lost respect for medical science. We want the impossible — outside of reality — the instantaneous cure for a pandemic, with some actually trying to deny the undeniable contagion. There is bitterness between those who would do the correct things to thwart the pandemic and those who were willing to sacrifice loved ones, deny the disease, discard humanity/compassion, and attempt to pursue business as usual. Freedom from the disease could only have been achieved quickly if we worked together but — as we have shown ourselves — we are not yet that civilized and our self-destructive tribal instincts are still with us.

We should not bemoan the current situation. Since the pandemic is now hitting almost only the unvaccinated, I believe that it is nature’s way of doing the job to rid the earth of its parasites. Let it take out the idiots, ignorant and isolated in their bunkers.

We can only expedite matters (either positively or negatively) if we would impose restrictions and sanctions. We have to stop rewarding stupidity because it reproduces like a voracious insect.

It’s fine if you want to “have freedom” but it will come with a cost. No vax then:

No federal benefits other than what you paid into

    No passports

No airline, bus or train travel

No entry into a public establishment

No publicly funded medical care when you test positive

    No welfare of any type

Not counted as part of the population for revenue sharing

    And many more.

How about this, Was in ER Sun nite, and back again on Monday On Sun the ER was SRO. By about 3am on Mon ER again was full but not SRO. I was placed into a room while they tried to decide what my problem was. After well over 30 hours in ER was admitted. Trying to get from ER to floor at 6m on Tuesday, showed people stacked on stretchers along every hallway and even stacked in main hallways. Was sick enough did not keep up with news, but from what hospital workers told me, every hospital in Eastern OK was the same. And I am now reading thatFaux is pushing every talking head to suddenly be pro vax. This wave appears to be the wave of the unvaxed

I’m not in favor of forcing people to be vaccinated. It seems reasonable, however, to place conditions on those who choose not to be vaccinated. We place conditions on lots of actions. You aren’t allowed to drive if you don’t have a driver’s licence. You can’t claim to belong to certain professions if you don’t have the proper certification. Those are reasonable restrictions. So if you choose not to be vaccinated, you should not be allowed to go into stores or go to sporting events or attend high school or college. Individuals have rights, including the right to choose not to be vaccinated, but society, which is made up of other individuals, has rights as well.

I feel I have to nit pick. Unless, trying to make a point that it is the mask or a respirator (which is not necessarily the case) what is pictured is a mask, and not a respirator.

I am ok with anti vaxers. Earth is overpopulated, so a few less boneheads on it seems like a good thing to me. Personally I am ok with covid killing half of all humans on the planet. I just want to be in the half that survives, so I got my shots and will get more if the anti vaxers insist on feeding the variants. So do what you want, Darwin will sort you out.

They should be selling them. Great memorabilia, even better than decorative plates or medallions. Of course you’ll have to be around “after” to get the most out of them.

Even if I am vaccinated, I can still catch it from one of you idiots. Then even if the vaccine works 100% and I show minor or no symptoms, I could pass it on to my grandkids, who still are not vaccinated, because we’re wasting time, money and effort to get you revolting idiots vaccinated!!!!

It would seem the easiest way to cheat this year is give the competition Covid19 and disqualifying them for the rest of the games.
