Nice try, girls. Entomology is the study of insects. The daddy long legs is an arachnid.

Red… you have to be a little careful with the Mintz twins

These two remind me of the twins in “The Shining”

Is it Muntz or Mintz. I enjoy seeing them this time of year. BTW, I think they are capable of totally out smaaarting young Red. Careful my friend, Rover has already flipped on you. That pool could be in their back yard by the end of the summer with Rover in it! Ha

I have always heard them called a “Granddaddy Long Legs” spider even though they are not a spider. Read they are more closely related to fleas and ticks.

I like Red’s eyes in first panel. He thinks girls are going to scram.

If it was an earwig I’d be getting it out of the pool. Yukky things.

    It’s a comic, not a science lesson.

Hey. You like bugs. They like bugs. In twelve years they will be twin babes and you will have laid the foundation for dating, one, if not both of them…..

All spiders are arachnids, but not all arachnids are spiders. Biggest difference is they only have two eyes instead of eight and they don’t spin webs. But more importantly, they can’t swim and those two letter girls need to rescue it!
