It’s a conundrum. Arguably, it’s not their fault that they were fed misinformation (or in the case of black folks, have a long history of being abused for “medical” research AND have been fed misinformation). On the other hand, it’s arguably absolutely their fault that they actually believe the misinformation… or even prefer it.
The real problem, imo is twofold: It takes about two weeks for an infection cycle, and that’s just too long for people to feel like it’s connected. And, it’s not deadly ENOUGH. If your family started feeling sick a couple of days after you brought it home and if it killed about 15% instead of about 1% then I think even these dunces would wake up and smell the truth. Probably.
The irony is that all the Fox News commentators are vaccinated. They have to be to work at their studio, and yet they lie to their viewers about the vaccines, encouraging them not to get vaccinated. It’s incredible that the Republican political apparatus hates America so much that they are willing to sacrifice their voters to make Biden’s Covid numbers and vaccine rates look bad. The only ones they are making look bad is themselves.
What really gets my knickers in a twist is that those ignorant, self-indulgent anti-vaxxers are spoiling it for the rest of us who are vaccinated—just a few weeks after the mask mandate was lifted here in SoCal, it’s back! Just when I was starting to enjoy not needing a mask any more. And all because of the increase in cases of the Delta variant being caught and spread by people without vaccinations! 99+% of those dying of COVID have not been vaccinated, so it would appear humanity’s choices are: Herd Immunity … or thin the herd!
The Canadian city in which I live has just hit zero active Covid cases. Totally controlled; the city is opening up and we’re all getting back to normal. Can anyone guess how we did it?
Speaking of Dunces . . . I wonder if Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-Florida) still has the “Don’t Fauci My Florida” T-shirts available. Appears the price has reduced to $2.99 on one website with the increase of Covid-19 there.
“No ‘high pressure’ doctor needs to sell me on getting a Covid-19 shot. I’ve still got time to get in on the ‘ground floor’ . . . .( Famous last words)
Season 2 of “Indian Doctor” on Britbox,I believe, has a story about a 1962 outbreak of smallpox. The poor doctor is contending with the same problem. Perhaps we should make this a mandatory documentary for Arkansas residents.
Mr. Bennett, Let’s not ignore nor insult the black and Latino youth whose vaccination rates remain low. Positive messaging with better outreach is needed to get these underserved populations vaccinated.

Is this package of disease, death, and division the “greatness” that 45’s followers were seeking?

Make them sit on those hats, maybe then they’ll get the point!!!

So the wearer of the dunce hat is either out sick or dead?

This is a bit offensive to me. I’m under Dr’s orders NOT to get the vaccine. Does that make me a dunce?
