    It may be a joke, but it’s true. With all the smog these days and smoke from forest fires, TV nature shows are much nicer to look at than reality.

    Reminds me of when I was at a friend’s house when I was in junior high school. A commercial for a new line of televisions came on and his mother commented on how much better the picture on those TVs was than on their set. (And I remember the time she found it fascinating how they taught “those cats” to dance in those cat food commercials.)
