Could you survive without your wheels? Want to walk for your groceries or to the drugstore? I could ride my bicycle, but where I live we have skinny roads, fast traffic, and 6 miles to the stores. I think I’ll skip that part.
Our prior house didn’t have A/C, just an evaporative cooler. Useless once the outside temperature hits 105F and it was 116F two days in a row last month. This house has a heat pump and it got used.

Try living around here in the winter without a heating system. It might become necessary to have a cooling system in the summer.
