This time I’m happy to tell you that, a little over 10 years ago, Richard posted a blog entry about this and the prior week of daily strips:

As it says, the following week of strips will be repeats. They originally began on a Monday

but in the reruns, they started on a Thursday

Back during the original run, The Elderberries ran crossover strips to fill the gap, starting with

Mr. Otterloop must not like the song “The Wheels on the Bus.”
“Baby Shark” crosses that line between the first and second stanza
Am I misstaken or is that car’s height greater than it’s wheelbase?!
Seems like the rain is falling on the other side of the car.
Petey’s got a point.
Alice is crossing that line all the time, ha
Alice crossed that line long long ago and joined Petey in a state of annoying cuteness.
It’s worse than that, Alice, it’s a Catch-22.
If you are TRYING to be cute, it’s annoying.
If you are trying to be ANNOYING, your parents will think it’s cute.
Every time I see him in his bed reading a book I am tempted to go do the same. Time to read books, even if they’re comics, is such a wonderful opportunity. Something always seems to distract me before I get there.
The line between “cute” and “annoying” is indeed super-slim. Beware, cuties out there! Your “cuteness” will be short-lived….
