Notwithstanding that Kamala Harris has been to the border many times (for goddess’ sake, she was senator from and attorney general of a border state), and has promised since March that she would go, the Republicans whined and cried that she had not been yet AS VICE PRESIDENT (because her priority was to focus on the root causes in Central America, not the SYMPTOMS at the border), as soon as she does go (as vice president) they whine and cry that it is a photo op.
No matter what Kamala does or does not do, they are going to whine and cry and attack.
It is what they do.
So she might as well just stick with the plan she has had all along, ignore the whiny losers, and focus on root causes first and symptoms as needed, and just let the crybaby losers whine.
I presume that Lisa’s describing (poorly) the behavior of “visiting politicians”. Which description, if true, is indeed a problem: People using scarce resources to just get some name/face recognition among voters in their districts.
Of course, when Harris was visiting the SOURCE of all these people, working on how to stop the problem at its source, Lisa (or maybe just other right wingnut ’toonists) was belittling her for NOT visiting the border.
Pure projection. Biden and Harris are actually trying to FIX things. The Orange Moron is the one for whom EVERYTHING is Public Relations, Advertising, and Photo-Ops. Even pandemics that kill half a million people are treated as a PR problem instead of a health problem.
On another note. I see Moscow Mitch is livid that we are pulling out of Afghanistan. But he had no problem about pulling out of NATO and Germany because his puppetmaster Putin wanted it.
This is why VP Harris didn’t want to have a photo op at the border. It was better for her to work with the president of Guatemala, where many of the immigrants are coming from, to aid their people and reduce their need to leave.
It’s almost a dead heat to determine Lisa-the-Shill’s greatest flaw: Mendacity, Stupidity, or Venality are her top three flaws, but WHICH is her most egregious?
Well that is the point, isn’t it? When Republican legislators go down there, it’s not to actually do anything, it’s so they can look busy and concerned. It’s not like they actually accomplish anything.
Will be interesting to hear how much credit Trump takes for border walls and policies and results that he didn’t actually have anything positive to do with, during his photo op… suspect he’ll get questions from reporters about his legal problems in NY, which will cause him to rant and stomp away (unless he vets the press very carefully, and only allows softball questions and testimonials in his favor)…
Regardless of the political party appearances at the boarder don’t do much to address the problem. What we should be doing is providing central American countries with birth control and education on population control. America is full.

They complained about children in cages under Trump but the cages are at 700% capacity under Biden. Why doesn’t the media cover that?
Did she even spend a full day there? Looks to me that she landed in the morning and took off for California in the evening. Didn’t actually visit the border where illegals are crossing. Spent no significant time talking to various border agents. Went to one holding facility where kids are kept in pristine condition, not the ones where they are held in cages and where children are on suicide watch. Perfect photo op which accomplished nothing and did not provide Harris with any tangible evidence of the real conditions on the border. Not that she wanted any or that she has the competence to do anything about it.
