Yes, I do talk with the computer, and sometimes I get a reply. Mostly, it just sits there not saying anything.

I do too. And I keep the sound off unless I’m listening to music so it can’t talk back to me. Smart arse things, I hated that bloody paper clip in the early Windows versions!

And now I despise Bixby, which I refuse to interact with on my phone. And judging by people supporting me when I asked Samsung to take make it uninstallable no one else likes it either!

Whenever my computer gets uppity, I pull out a screwdriver. It gets really nervous and starts to apologize and stuff..

I think we all talk to our computers and not in the best of languages. One of the great things in our lives, and yet one of the most irritating. I know mine does certain things just to irritate me! ….. I can almost hear it laughing.

I dont have nearly as many problems with my tablet as I did with my old desktop computer

The language I used with the old one would violate the comment policy

As a software developer I spend a lot of time talking to my computer – sometimes very nicely trying to persuade it to do what I want but most of the time . . .

Long, long ago (as in the 486 was the newest fastest greatest) if found myself threatening my PC. Our drafting program (I think it was Auto-Cad) ran so hot we had to keep the covers off the PCs and have a desk fan blowing across the unit.

Despite which, every half hour or so the PC would do a slow crash. The “blueprint” on the screen would begin to melt away. You had about 6-7 seconds to save your work or it would be gone.

At one point I was so angry (forgot to save, lost 20 minutes work) that I threatened to throw the box out the window. As in, I looked at the computer, yelled at the computer and threatened it as if it was a living thing.
