    Welcome, everybody!

    We’re here at Millie and George’s house….

they’ve invited us over to join them in what I hope is a friendly discussion of

the June 11th  2018 “CLEO and COMPANY”

Which we all read on Sherpa

    http://www.comicssherpa.com/site/feature?uc_comic=cscwy

I never know they were Cleo fans…

Millie says they never miss it, and they never have disagreements about it….

so she thinks this “mouth prop” is just an experiment, or maybe, in some way, a conversation piece….

except that any conversation will be about George, and he won’t actually be able to join in.

She wants to discuss it with him, especially with all of us about to show up… but he only makes annoying little noises to show her that his mouth is otherwise occupied.

Well, if I were having a conversation about George and his strange new accoutrement….

I wouldn’t want him to join in.

In fact, I’d prefer he didn’t hear it…. or know that it occurred….

because I’m afraid I wouldn’t have anything very complimentary to add.

I told Millie that we also need to consider the idea that George is just being shy….

maybe he thinks this might be a way to avoid having to comment, in case we turn out to be critical.

I assured her that we’re NOT, and he should soon realise it.

And when she asked whether she could provide some refreshments, I suggested that, if there were something simple she could make….

so it wouldn’t be too much trouble….

    that George really likes,

it might tempt him to take out his “decoration” and join in the discussion.

    Of Cleo.

    Only about Cleo.

Mouth prop? I thought that was George’s new mouth trap.

The less I know about Millie & George’s private life, the better I like it.

As to Madame Cleo and her Tribe: I might have known; a sudden change in circumstances can always be just as suddenly undone by the old “dream” gambit. I’m glad they weren’t ALL having the same dream. Points to Clara for originality and sense of adventure.

As to this one, if Millie reaches over and pulls that tassel really hard, the prop will come out of George’s mouth and his gums will clack together like, "Blup, blup, blup, blup. She’ll start laughing so hard that she’ll forget what she was saying to him.

Cleo’s going to be upset if she only dreamed of that huge box of kibble floating up to the island…and Clara’s probably never going to tell Claude all the details of her dream.

Some people believe that if you’re with the same person all the time,

you may start to share some dreams.

OK, maybe…. but, close as the Cliffords are to their beloved (most of the time) Cleo….. I’m not sure “person” includes the dog.

As for Sheriff Mordecai…. he’s an old friend from another day and another strip….. just visiting,

though it would be nice if he started hanging out.

I think he knows Ballard Street is out of his jurisdiction anyway.

I’m always very good you know….

and my pal Sheriff MonkeyBlues hasn’t mentioned receiving any warrants in Ballard County for my arrest.

He would tell me…. wouldn’t he?

    Monkeee!!!!

So everyone wakes up happy in Cleveland….but Clara is the happiest! Especially with X’s drawing of George flexing his pecs!

There are women who can do that, you know. Very specialized entertainers for sophisticated clientele only.
