D-Day. June 6, 1944, is known most commonly by the term D-Day and refers to the landing of Allied forces on the beaches of Normandy, France. Troops staged one of the most pivotal attacks against Germany during World War II.
National Gardening Exercise Day. Well, I’ll be working the garden center at Walmart, but I’ll get my real exercise in my own garden tomorrow on my day off.
It was a month ago that the Thief of Cancer stole my Misty away from me. She, like all of my others, was a rescue. Your wonderful story telling has struck a nerve with me today Graham. I might be getting some good news soon, but today all I have are the memories.
I always say that Graham writes the best poems! Whether they be funny or sad, they always bring out many feelings we have about our cats. This one is excellent!
To cheer things up, you Plopper Cat fans can hopefully see the latest picture I took of him yesterday at his new Connecticut home. Facebook members will have no trouble. https://www.facebook.com/photo?fbid=5913041132047105&set=a.234257766592165
This one hits home. Big Man was black cat with a bent left ear who just wandered in to our lives and enriched them no end. He was the most loving, gentle, sensitive cat. He left us four years ago this month. We still think of him every day and we will always miss him.
Awww. How beautiful. Reminds me of the gorgeous, long-haired, all black cat that used to stay on my grandmothers large wooden porch. Every time I would visit her as a child, he would come out and greet with non-stop swishes, rubs, and purrs. He loved people, but not other cats. I used to sit out on her porch and we kept each other company. He gaslit my love of cats.

That poem started out as such a lovely tribute to his cat – and sorry it ended that way.

Bennair; been there. They rest in peace, with my flowers growing above their little graves. Catnip too.

Wonderfully lovely poem, even if it has a sad ending. Quite poignant. On another note, saw three robins and a rabbit while out walking today.

What a lovely poem. I’m glad that Bennair learned to trust, and was loved and cared for in his later years. RIP little one.
