Anti-maskers continue to follow the lemming lead of sancti-phonies. Their guidance is in the false worship of sancti-money. How long will pandemic bungler Trump take sanctuary in the sanctu-wary Republican Party? Sanctus, sanctus, sanctus, Lord Trump of MAGA Hosts. Kevin and Mitch are full of your …
And then there’s Saint (Rand) Paul, on his potholed Road to Damn-mask-us.
Tom doesn’t know in advance if the women he is about to have coffee with have been vaccinated and understands that even though he is protected, he could still spread COVID-19 to unvaccinated individuals. So, he is choosing or err on the side of caution until he knows the situation he is in and the status of the people he is with…what a d*ck.
I wear mine out of habit. Plus, around here, most stores and restaurants still require masks. Private businesses that can set their own rules, almost sounds like capitalism.
Who’s more sanctimonious? The person who wears a mask because it’s a requirement, the result of the advice of medical professionals.Or the person calling people who are continuing to wear them sanctimonious?
People who are vaccinated and continue to wear a mask are in need of serious help. It does NOT matter if someone else is not wearing a mask around you, you cannot get the virus, you cannot give the virus, if you have been vaccinated. The mask has now become virtue signalling as if to say, “I’m still caring.” When it is really a “Safe Space” covering – or a security blanket for adults.
Or maybe he has an immunodeficiency, or maybe he has severe allergies, or maybe he’s a caregiver for an unvaccinated parent, or maybe it’s just none of your business?
where would left-wingers be without there misplaced righteous fear [never wants normal to return]…? Climate Change , guns, kkk, Boog Boys be afraid ALWAYS stay afraid. Still looking for monsters under the bed or sleeping with a night light, grow up.
I mostly hang out with just the two of us. Friends who are close enough to visit — either direction — we’ve already talked about vaccines, and they’re vaccinated. Grocery (and other) stores: Still want you masked*, and I’m happy to comply. Outside dining such as pictured here: I’ll mask up to go inside to talk to the Maitre D, if I need to. And I’ll stay masked until I need my mouth for drinking / eating.
* In our state, stores MAY allow you to unmask but if so MUST require proof of vaccination. This is very fraught, particularly for the minimum-wage types who must do it and get abused. So must stores have opted for “everyone masked”. If masking hadn’t become a trigger, or say, we were still in the 1950s when people were mostly both polite and sane… Mostly. By the standards of the day… the more complicated rule would have worked just fine.
I’m going to miss wearing the mask, actually. It feels kind of private with the mask on, and weirdly, I came to appreciate that. I’m an introvert; it feels easy talking on the Internet, but it’s hard in person.
But I will not miss the scratchiness and the “maskne”. Tomorrow will be two weeks since my second dose, and I can ditch the mask if I feel like it!
Dear Mr. Kelley:As my father-in-law recently died of Covid-19, I think I’ll prefer a bit of mask sanctimony. You might consider that, when you look down your nose at those of us trying to make those around us a little safer by wearing masks and practicing social distancing.

The CDC has now reported an airborn version of Covid much stronger and more resiliant than the South African, the Indian and the British.
Meanwhile my little rural county reported TWO (2) cases of flu last year. The year before that we had a middle school student DIE from the flu.
I will continue to wear my mask and protect myself and those around me, thank you.
And if you don’t like it, tough.

I’m still going to wear a mask until I feel comfortable not doing so. If someone wants to call me sanctimonious, so be it.

Leave them alone to go maskless and vaccine-less – it’s called Darwinism via herd culling

Well, maybe a little sanctimony—but there’s the chance he has some cool design he wants to get his money’s worth out of.
