yep workers still have to worry about a mass shooting at there place of business because the republiCONs won’t allow even the smallest gun safety policy – wouldn’t want the NRA lose an profits and cut there contributions to the gops now would they
If they’re federal government employees, they also have to resume getting full taxes withheld from their paychecks – as well as make arrangements to make payments on the taxes that Trump temporarily suspended…
It’s clearly within a company’s rights to require actual vaccination (or a doctor’s note about why not). And “unarmed” OUGHT to be within their rights too. The last time someone brought his (plain old) rifle to a place where I worked, he was simply sent home to sleep it off. And he went. PS: He wasn’t employed there after his first annual review.
Note that it’s also clearly within their rights to insist on spacing and mask wearing, despite the current CDC guidelines. My son, who’s never been out of work during the pandemic despite working as a short order cook, wears a mask about 50 to 60 hours per week (two jobs), even though he’s now two weeks past his second jab. Because “rules”.
I understand all but one of these prerequisites for a return to work, except ‘without grievance’. Are they expecting to have a meek workforce that will not report sexist behaviour, bullying, misogyny, or unionise to demand higher wages?
These are VERY reasonable rules IMO. But then again there are those that refuse to be concerned with anyone else.
In the office I used to work at, people were angry because they weren’t allowed to keep microwaves or space heaters in their office (communal microwaves were in the break-room nearby). These were instituted after there was burnt popcorn and an actual fire, respectively. One person even had a toaster oven for a while, but then she made fish.

But “unarmed” is what makes them defenseless to those who have a motive or mental health issue.
“If more sane people were armed the crazy people would get off fewer shots.”

So far this year we’ve had 232 mass shootings (4 or more victims). Keep up the good work, America.

It’s easier to obtain a firearm in the USA than it is to obtain a credit card, mortgage, driver’s license, or a Georgia voter’s registration…

republican congress critters are opposed to that type of thinking, at least in the Capitol building.

Many companies are continuing to allow remote work as they have found that productivity has gone up because of it.
