But what about that awesome peace deal that was brokered without Palestine getting any say at all? I was told by conservatives that that magical deal fixed everything!

That blew up in 2001 when Ehud Barak lost his bid re-election. The new Israeli PM Ariel Sharon announced he had no intention to negotiate with the Palestinians, and the new US President W supported Sharon’s position.

Maybe things would go better if Israel didn’t try to wipe the Palestinians off the face of the Earth.

Palestinians have been the recipient of ethnic cleansing for so long you would think they’re used to it by now. So what if the Israeli courts have “cleansed” some Palestinian homes for Israeli’s to move into. Why all the violence?

The only reason the republicans care at all about Israel is because they want Jerusalem as their own “holy land”. If the fabled “holy land” was in Palestine, Syria, or Iraq they would back them as well.

This.. would not be happening if only trump would have exposed the election fraud sooner. He.. (the trump) would still be in the White House and Jarred’s grand plan would be in effect. All Palestine blood spilled is on the democrats hands for not admitting defeat with grace. (sarcasm folk.. if it’s not obvious)

While it’s true that Hamas is likely a terrorist organization, though it’s also true that one man’s terrorist is another man’s revolutionary, the government of Israel coupled with the Zionist movement has been systematically seeking the total expulsion of the Palestinian people. In the 70’s I well remember watching the news show the Israeli urban renewal program in action with the bulldozing of Palestinian housing. This may well be the main reason Hamas exists and will continue to be the motivation of war between these peoples till the Palestinians are allowed to own and inhabit the land they have possessed for many hundreds of years.

Riiight Ramirez. A conflict that has been going on for decades, and you believe that there actually WAS a chance for a Palestinian state? This current flare-up of conflict had zero impact on the chance for a Palestinian State.

President Obama made the attempt to get Israel to abide by the agreements made in 1948 and unanimous General Assembly resolution in the the United Nations, but congress would not support him. Netanyahu, enabled by tRump, increased the illegal settlements by over 60%. Israel needs to rid itself of Netanyahu and the adhere to the agreements they made in regards to East Jerusalem.

Americans can’t figure out why Israelis are fighting with Palestinians when Trump and Kushner achieved ‘peace’ in the Middle East

The battles came after Kushner launched the Abraham Accords Institute for Peace “to promote his major accomplishment when he advised his father-in-law, former US President Donald Trump: the normalization agreements between Israel and a number of Sunni Arab countries,” said The Times of Israel earlier this month.

“The Abraham Accords, signed in September 2020, were arguably Trump’s biggest foreign policy achievement and the biggest breakthrough for relations between Israel and the Arab world for 25 years,” said Axios. That was until 10 days later when the bombs started flying.

Reminder that Jared Kushner and Ivanka made $640 million during their time in the White House.

It was NEVER about peace in the Middle East.

Israel has never accepted, (and never will) the idea of a Palestinian state…unless it’s the continuing state of chaos that Israel creates for Palestinians.

The Palestinians, Iran and several other major Arab players have never and will never accept a 2 state solution. They will not rest until Israel is destroyed as a nation.

Each time the prospect of a lasting peace and the advancement of full sovereignty gains traction, Iran sponsors missile attacks and other terrorist acts against Israel. Hamas is little more than a proxy for Iran. They will ALWAYS throw a wrench in any attempt at peace.

They don’t want peace. They want total victory and the elimination of Israel.

If someone comes along and says that you have to move from where you and your family have lived for generations, and you are expected to say that they have the right to your property, how would you react? It doesn’t make any sense to me that displaced people need to say that Israel has the right to those lands.

The U.S. needs to stop giving BILLIONS to the Israelis that are used for military – the U.S. MIC want the Israelis to fight proxy wars and capture and turn over weapons from other countries.
