Worse than cheating is changing part of a collectible set. Like if she permanently altered the Young Justice, Batman The Brave and the Bold, The Spectacular Spider-Man or X-Men Evolution sets I got from fast food restaurants (McDonald’s for the 1st three, Burger King for the X-Men Evolution set) from 2001-2011, ruins the sentimental value of having them all:-(. Yep all 8 releases from those toy waves:-).
Not to be nitpicky (OK, I’m being nitpicky), but the board is set up wrong. Light squares go in the right hand corners. I do give Dana credit for drawing a full 8×8 board, which is rarely seen when chess is depicted in the comics.
Marigold must not know much about chess. A Pawn in that position will be just as effective in trapping Marigold’s King, as long as the Pawn is covered by a piece that can attack and capture that King if it captures the Pawn or tries to move diagonally next to it.
