I once read in an book about World War 2 that during the invasion of France in 1940. They conscripted troops from Africa and during the fighting they would run Around screaming in French “Every man for himself” because they are under the mistaken belief it was an great battle cry after their french comrades yelling it. Not sure it’s true or not but it’s amusing
