Actually, if Walt were still alive, he’d’ve been a close friend of Jeffrey Epstein, probably his mentor….

Wish this was actually funny. It’s not that I disagree, it’s that it’s not even trying.

This would be actually be funny if it wasn’t so true. America continues to circle the toilet drain led by fascist maniacs. God help us.

I think that the basic idea here that Ruben is trying to get across is that ANY changes to what was an admittedly white-centric set of ideals, which DID have their basis in the 50’s and 60’s mindset, is deeply troubling to the “Karens and Darrens” who HATE any changes to their MAGA-Based way of thinking.

Isn’t it interesting how each new generation decries the follies of the ones who came before, only to be “corrected” themselves by the ones that follow? Not that these corrections aren’t needed, they certainly are, but it will be interesting to see what of the current generations ideas end up on the scrapheap of history (assuming I live long enough to see it) just as some of their ancestors did.

Oh boy, this one is really gonna trigger the chuds. I know the article it’s based on, too.

WAAAAH! Disney’s too woke and it hurts my feelings! :’(

    Stupid.

Geez, no raping, no race-baiting, less overt imperialism— you just can’t have any good, clean, family fun anymore.

I’m still waiting for “Song of the South” to be put into rotation on Disney+ (with an hour-long discussion on Black stereotypes preceding it, of course)

Absolutely great commentary. And is true for anyone wondering. https://disneydose.com/pirates-of-the-caribbean-history/

As a fat old straight white guy I don’t find it offensive. It doesn’t sound very entertaining. It’s kind of like a buzzing noise that never changes pitch or volume. After the first few seconds it takes on a mind numbing sameness. They need to work on the presentation. Add some gags and pratfalls. Female characters who get all the punch lines. Absurd situations that arise because of the male protagonist’s inability to navigate the choppy waters of social interaction.

Sell Disney stock now. Woke is not entertaining. The “antiquated white-centric America” was their main customer. How to fail in business – offer nothing of interest for or become distasteful to your potential customers, or better, just piss them off.
